As my journey continues in discovering what CranioSacral Therapy offers a whole new me has emerged. The therapy has a Somatic Emotional Release to the deeply embedded emotions that we have as we grow up and as we age.
Many discoveries have been unearthed as I get treated myself. During a recent session I found buried in my neck pain that I’ve had as long as I can remember was a realization: I have compartmentalized my emotions to the point I was shut off and disengaged.
How did I even function?
Well, not that well to be honest. I wasn’t functioning to my fullest and I was certainly starting to have severe physical ailments with my body. Over a few more sessions I was able to integrate my emotions and become a lot more self-aware of the how not to ignore or stuff them away.
This self-awareness is a common component of the Somatic Emotional Release that happens as we get treated with CranioSacral Therapy and how it helps you to heal both physically and emotionally. The therapist creates a safe space for you to discover your own self-awareness which in turn generates a therapeutic path to healing.
